Life Assurance

The aim of life assurance cover is to provide money for people who financially depend on you. Young families who are running a home, bringing up their children, coping with the stresses of their jobs, can sometimes overlook the question we should all ask ourselves - " if I die, will there be enough money for my family to maintain their standard of living without me or my income?"

If there is no one who will be financially distressed by your death, life assurance is probably not essential, though there are other reasons why it could be useful.

When we meet new clients, we always review their life assurance arrangements, as the lack of cover can result in serious consequences for the survivor(s) which will impact on all their other financial arrangements. Also, the use of trusts with your life assurance arrangements, can protect your family against unintentional consequences.

And for families with young children, we would always recommend that you make a Will. Here again, the lack of a properly drawn up Will can cause some very real problems for the surviving family, when a death occurs.
